They're just open a week ago , ( 2nd December to be exact ).. and is kinda widely publicised on the papers.

It's just a normal food court.. and it's kinda small? The have the projecter thr tho..



They have spanking yellow and orange colour plastic chairs. They look nice since they're still new.. but i dunno if they still look "that spanking" in 2 more monthS?



Milo Peng 3 layer



You know how entreprenuers wanted to invent things that is imposible to work? So.. this is the case of this Milo Peng. It taste so weird lah. Very weird.

I ate nothing , coz the food i ordered never reach me!

You know .. there's something i find it funny about this place..

" the first food court that has automated sliding roof"

What does roof has to do with the place? Like does the food gets nicer just cause there's automated sliding roof?

The Junk

I had a high-standard supper today in The Junk. Yes, you hear me The Junk. Mr.date havent had his dinner , so he wanted some food. He's got this british accent ..that i like. Hehe.

He had the carbonara Stef had ..and he liked it a lot?!?! He was saying.. "hmm, better than the one in England!".

Asparagus and Prawn Something-something (LOL)



It was good and it'll be perfect if the prawn was fresh. Cant expect much in the monsoon season. The asparagus oso just nice. Recommended.


Chocoholic Crush



It was pure commercialised Chocolate ice cream blended. I hate commercialised Ice creams.. they just taste so fake!

Creme Brulee



It's actually my 1st time tasting Creme Brulee.. or did i taste it in Zen of Secret Recipe in Mid Valley? Lupa sudah.. But this one is too custard-ish for my liking.. feel like puking after eating them and i did not finish it!

The biggest Road side burger !

Yes, it's the largest, huge-st road side burger you'll ever find! Their stall is just right outside Soho of Penang Road. You wont miss it , if you know where is Soho!



Size itself won't make me go gu-gu-ga-ga over it IF it doesn't taste good rite? Yes, truly , it's the best burger i've ever eaten in my whole life. It is also the 1st time i've seen "burger-chef" heating up the mayonaise on the pan. Very cool!



The last time Albert was in Penang , i brought him there. I actually bought it for myself , but was too tired to eat so he ate it coz he suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and cud'nt go back to sleep. Weird guy.

Thai Ice Cream

Been to the Sleeping Buddha Temple in Penang? Just outside it has this really nice Thailand Ice cream.. I've never been to Thailand, so don't ask me if it's like really authentic Thailand ice cream.



The lady whose serving you is really nice.. she's quite old.. and PDA with the husband. He he!



The ice cream has the sorbet-ish texture but it's creamy at the same time.. the combination of the ice cream and the creamy sweet corn and "Atap-chi" is perfect.

So , if you guys go there, must try ok? =)

Living Room Part 2

My 1st visit was extremely good... i love the place.. so yeap, i came for the 2nd time along with my friends. An old-high-sch-mates-gathering.. minus Sam who was in Singapore.

I ordered the same black pepper lamb and midin salad ..

Fettuccine Carbonara RM 23



Stef's. She finished like 30 % of it. The shitake mushroom smell was too strong.. and shitake doesn't go well with italian food for God sake! It was too dry too.. Thumbs down!

Fish Basket RM 38



Jo's order. It was all fried! The portion was HUGE... enough for 3-4 person. But since Jo had it alone , he couldn't finish it .. I still wish they would arrange it properly instead of "Throwing" everything in a huge plate. So-very-not-appetizing.

Lo Han Chai RM 18



It's normal lah tis one. But Beng liked it a lot. It's just black fungus, abalone mushrooms , baby corn and broccoli cooked in Oyster-like Sauce.

Lamb Rack RM 40



Beng said it's good. I notice him ordering this every time it's in the menu. Anywhere. But the waiter damn suku loh.. when Beng ask him to move it to a smaller plate.. he is like " ahhh? what? what ?"... and in the end he didnt move. The waiter speaks No English , and Beng was talking BM to him. *faint*

Lamb Shank RM 28



It's Wilson's. I had it a few times with Albert.. and i knew it's not so nice. It's too over-cooked.. I know it's not suppose to be medium or rare.. it's just that i don't like lamb to be over cooked. So , lamb shank is not my thing :P

Fish and Chips RM 20



Jess's. Forget to try! :P But , it looks good. The fish was kinda thick .. and it's worth the price.

Ostrich Rolls RM 25



Ben's! he was too far so i didn't try his food. He said " it's not bad, but have to eat with rice..". He ordered lamb shank at 1st , but since they said they had one left , he gave it to Wil. After 10 minutes , they MIRACLE-LY found another lamb shank and ask if he wants it. Obviously he doesnt want it.. and we all know how they found it. Double thumbs down again!

Pavlova with fresh fruits RM 12



Look at the pavlova. Notice something wrong ? The meringue is not suppose to be white!!!(Meringues are suppose to be a lil burn off) It was not well beaten , and it was so sweet!! Way too sweet! And , the meringue was hard!

I totally forgot about taking pictures of the drinks.. hehehe.. so no drinks photos!

SO , 1st visit , i was totally impressed with the place. Service was good, Ambiance was good, Food also GOOD!

2nd visit. OMFG. i was greeted with a very rude waitress .. keep asking if i'm having dinner or not. Hey , you don't ask your customer that kind of question OK?

Then , the menu is not enough for the 8 of us. There's 8 of us , and you only give us ONE MENU for food??!?! Ok , fine! I can put up with this.

But , the Waiter speaks no English and we have to repeat our order again and again and again!! Even when we speak in BM , he will ask us to repeat!

God, we paid RM 350+ for such lousy food and lousy service. It was not worth it at all.

I wonder if i will ever step there again!

Dunia Oh Dunia

Saya kat UUM.. you tahu itu kat Kedah punya.. Majoriti Islam.. so tidak boleh pakai itu seluar pendek ar.. Tapi saya selalu pakai lah.. Panas la,bang..

Hari ni saya ditegur kat itu main cafe...kena blacklisted jugak.. cakap nak saman saya tiap tiap hari.. itu cafe punya owner celaka punya.. pegi complaint saya. .. mula mula itu orang besar panggil saya pegi opis.. tapi saya cakap saya tak tahu tak boleh pakai and asyik cakap sorry .. so dia kata bagi warning dulu..

so sekarang saya perlu pakai tracksuit tiap tiap hari.. tracksuit sangat besar lah banggg... macam itu seluar nak pegi SHUFFLE!!!!

sigghhhh.. oh cis bedebah!

Leaving Again

Two weeks ago , i was back in my hometown for Hari Raya Holidays and used half of my study week for holiday oso! I know it's not right ... but i was desperate to come home even tho' my tickets were RM 917 (Return) and ... I totally didn't bother about the fact that i'll be home end of november again! Again , another RM 577 flew away..


My tickets..what's up with MAS man? Lousy tix!

Anyway, i'll be back soon..! Finals!!

Laksa Sarawak in Laksa Shack

I was missing home so badly .. that i decided to taste the Sarawak Laksa in Laksa Shack , Queensbay. Sarawak Laksa is the only food that'll bring me "somewhat closer" a lil tiny bit to my hometown, Kuching. Being without Laksa for months is not good for a hard core laksa fan like me! I didn't had high expectations on this place .. I juz reali wanted to taste at least a lil "hint" of the laksa aroma. Just a bit will do!!! Talk bout being desperate!

Too many things that aren't suppose to be inside are in lah weiiii.. Got timun , sesame seeds, dried tauhu pok.. arghhh.. soup was too thick.. But hey , it's got a LITTLE laksa Sarawak taste ok?! Hahaha! This laksa is recommended for desperate people (like me) who misses Laksa Sarawak too much! hahah!

But anyway , as i remembered the service was good here =)

The Living Room

I am having a great week. I've been eating and eating in GOOD places almost everyday !



Today , Beng treated me a meal in Magenta. Even tho' i'm not blogging about Magenta (not because the food wasn't good, but i was too busy indulging them ).. i'm just writing this to thank him. I would not be able to afford such expensive meal there. Thank You ,Beng! :) Looking Forward to many more years of great friendship with you! [ i noe he'll read this!]

Back to what i'm blogging.. The Living Room. Situated the same row with The Junk , i am quite dumbfounded by the architecture. It was beautiful! I was there with one of my closest high school mate , Vero and also Vanessa whose close-but-not-so-close?haha!

The choices there are pretty limited and i like restaurants with limited choice. Cafes with wide choices makes me feel like i'm eating in a food court!

Midin Salad ( served cold)



This one is one simple meal , yet taste good. I like it and i'll definitely order on my next visit. (Yes, i'm very sure i will visit this place again!)

Spicy Mussels



The mussels are kinda huge and very fresh .. But i didn't like how it taste. I prefer mussels cooked in English style.

Grilled Black Pepper Lamb Chop



I had always love the lamb chop prepared there. Somehow , i didn't like it this time .. coz the taste was a bit "too fusion" for me. But , still it taste good. Just , i HATE the mashed potato here. So sweet can!!!

Penang Road Dim Sum

Apparently , this is one of the most popular dim sum in Penang. It's about 30 minutes walk from KOMTAR.. then you walk through those really worn out shop houses. I'm not so sure if any Rapid or Milan buses stops here.

I've always been a fan of dim sum .. but all of my visits to dim sum kopitiams in Kuching never make me happy. I'll say so far this is the only dim sum kopitiam that makes me happy. Sad thing is , it's in Penang. Not in Kuching.

After a scrumptious dinner with Vero and Van in The Living Room , i walked over to The Junk for a date ( date! *cough* ) with Ben. Since we both had dinner already, we had cakes and drinks while chit chatting the night away. Man , i damn miss this sitting-in-a-cafe-chit-chat life!

Mine. Just as Ben complaint his cake was too rich.. i have nothing to say besides saying my cake was "POOR". Tasteless and no black berries at all! :( I finished it tho' since it's RM 9 for a bloody sponge cake. I don't know what i was thinking that time. Probably because the cake looks really nice. Aneway , the presentation's great. How i wish the cake taste as good as it looks.

I tapau-ed for my mum. It was good. Just that i thought the way they pack somehow makes it looks cheap?. heh!

I 've been to this place many times... and every single of the visit has never fail to make me happy. I love the after-feeling this place gives me. Just incase you're so outdated , The Junk is located just opposite St. Mary's. So if you wanna date me , please book a table in The Junk , ok? ;D
