How to make Chinese Sandwich

For those who followed my twitter, you would know that I am currently in Kuching for a short break. I wanted to blog about it the night before I fly back, but I had some meetings and last minute stuffs to attend.

It isn't exactly a holiday for me, as I am still rushing my assignment up till today and finals is just a week away!! It scares me just to think of the amount of book i need to read for the coming next three weeks! :(

Let's get our mind off to some happy stuff shall we? I made myself a nice sandwich for breakfast! This is very much inspired by Huai Bin's Korean Sandwich :p

Got my mum to bake me a loaf of whole meal bread. Nothing like a good home made bread!

Sunny side up and luncheon meat.

Thinly shredded cabbage and cheese. Man, I've been having cheese cravings for yonks!

Tower them up and this is what you get. The egg yolks overflowing, damn classic!

MMmmm!

How to make smoked salmon sandwich

( Do expect more of the How-to-s post since I'm cooking a lot at home. :P )

Spread the bread with butter then toast it in the oven till slightly brown. While waiting for the bread to be done, mash your hard boiled egg then mix it with a knob of mayonaise and a pinch of pepper. By then, your bread should be done. Take it out from the oven and spread the cheese spread on it while it's hot.

I love to have my sandwiches with black olives. It gives it a wild flavor and of course you have the mandatory lettuce.

Spread the mashed egg with mayonaise on the bread, then put the smoked salmon with black pepper slices on one of the bread , and the olives on the other.

Just before you tower the sandwich up, put the lettuce.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich ( Triple S. ;p )

and have some guava juice to go with the sandwich.

Ah, i feel healthy. =D

Gardenia's Butterscotch Bread

Butterscotch bread is Gardenia's latest addition to their many varieties of bread. To be honest, I have stop buying Gardenia's bread for quite a while now after I did an experiment and found out it had too much preservatives.

But since everyone have been raving about the new bread, I decided to give it a try. I had always been a fan of butterscotch, the "flavour" itself so I expected the bread to taste really good. Unfortunately, it turn out otherwise.

I find the bread nothing special. It tasted a lot like white bread, just a sweeter version plus some yellow spots. Butterscotch should have this creamy, caramelized sweet after taste and I couldn't taste any of that in the bread.

As much as I hate to say this, I don't think there will ever be a second time. Plus, I have to admit it's a tad expensive at RM 4 for a loaf of bread. (Please don't compare the RM 15 Japanese bread in One U and Mid Valley)

Anyway, I'm going for a camp tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward with the amount of workload I have but it's a compulsory-cost-a-lot-of-mark thing. :( Some food that I'll be bringing :P

Healthy Sandwich

I prepared this while i was back in my hometown and by blogging on this makes me feel so homesick! :(

Anyway, You will need :

Wholemeal Loaf

My mum made this , but you can easily get this in the bakery.

Slice them to your preferred thickness.

Pasta Sauce

Any pasta sauce can be used except the cream based one.

Ham, Lettuce and Tomato.

Cheese

You can either get the mozarella block or if you're lazy, get the packed one.

Spread the pasta sauce on the loaf slice. Not too much tho' coz you wont want it to be soggy. Then put the cheese, tomato and ham on top. Then put them in the oven.

Trust me, tomato taste a lot better after they came out from the oven.

Lastly, put the lettuce and sandwich them.

Ta da! Done! Healthy, Hearthy, Filly Sandwich!
