Christmas Eve Dinner

Sorry, for I haven't been blogging actively. I don't have internet connection at home and i find no inspiration blogging outside. I'm now back in my uni so food posts will resume as usual. :)

I just got back yesterday morning and i'm not exactly in a good state of emotion. Homesick! Anyway, back to my posts. This year, for Christmas Eve, I spend it with my family.

Stuffed Chicken

We have Turkey every year but this year turkey cost almost RM 200 (unprepared one) and I thought that was a bit overpriced so we had chicken instead. We had the stuffing like Turkey and cooked like a Turkey. ;p

Baked Portabello with bacon

I love fresh portabellos!

Oat Baguette

No Western meal is perfect without baguettes along. Trust me.

Salad

I bought a miniature wine in Green Heights before dinner. My parents is not a drinker and I have never really fancied wine as well. I just bought it coz its Christmas!

I think the idea of having it this size is great for outdoors. ( i. e : dates in the beach).

For desert, we had Chocolate brownie Cheesecake.

The dinner itself wasn't extravagant but having to spend it with people that matters to you the most made the whole night perfect.

I miss you mum and dad.

Mc Donalds Breakfast

I had a depressing night in LCC-T recently. I overnight there because I couldn't make it for the last flight back to Kuching so i had to take the first flight the next morning. Anyway, before my flight, i had breakfast in McD's (not that there's many choice after all).

While everyone had the boring Mc Muffin and tasteless omelette, like always I went for the Hot Cakes. The pancakes is nothing to shout but it's the best on McDonald's breakfast menu.

It came with a small tub of butter and maple syrup. If you're sweet tooth like me,you can ask for an extra tub of maple syrup.

I also went for a cup of premium roast coffee. It is priced at RM 3.80, which I thought was slightly overpriced. The regular one goes for RM 4 ++ but there's no point of ordering that cause they provide free refills.

It has a nice strong aroma but it didn't help to keep me awake. I was asleep before the plane took off.

The Menu

First, sorry for the impromptu hiatus! I'm back in my hometown and I don't have Internet connection. Many things happen (including a funeral) and i didn't have the time to go online.

Apparently, three days ago, i turn 21.i had a quiet dinner with my close friends at this new place called The Menu in Jalan Keretapi upon recommendation from a friend.

I liked the interior. Impressive and classy.

There wasn't much choice for food tho'. We didn't take a long time to settle with our menu.

Grilled Cheese Chicken Chop

It is actually one of the best chicken chop I've tasted in kuching. Grilled almost to perfection and well marinated. The portion is too little tho'. i was hungry 2 hours later. ;p

Grilled Chicken Chop

Tasted the same with the cheese one, just without the piece of cheddar slice.

Grilled Fish Fillet

This one is on the bland side and i find the fish overcooked.

Ribena Sprite

Sour Plum

This is my drink. It tasted alright.

Ice Lemon Tea

I can't remember the exact figure for the price but the range for the one we ordered is RM 10- RM 11 for food, and RM2 - RM4 for drinks.

I then went to
jase's tea room to blow my cake ;p

Have a nice day everyone!
