New Zealand Naturals

New Zealand (NZ) Naturals is an ice cream franchise from NZ. Something similar to Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins. They claim that their ice cream is made out of the best ingredients ;p

I had my virgin scoop at Bangsar Village just five minutes before they close the shop.

I love the varieties of colours and flavours they have. Truly an attraction ;p

Each scoop is priced at RM 6.50 of which i thought was pretty reasonable since the scoop was quite large.

Cool Bananas D'lite

I love it - i am a fan of banana flavour! There is nothing dirty about that statement, alright ? ;p

Toffee Caramel Cup

Nice butter-scottish-toffee taste but kinda too sweet for me.

If i were to compare with Haagen Dazs, this would win hands down. However if i would compare it with Baskin Robbins, this won't be the favourable one ;p

Malaysian Breakfast

As much as i loved to have ham and bacon for my breakfast, the Malaysian breakfast is always good once in a while. Nasi Lemak is my all time favourite breakfast.

I was in Cheras (i don't know the exact place, sorry!) recently and my sister brought me to this coffee shop for breakfast.

Nasi Lemak

I would always choose telur mata kerbau over hard boil egg to go with nasi lemak. The sambal was nice but it had too much anchovies. Rice was perfect ;p

Sambal sotong

This one is really delicious! omg, i'm drooling at this picture man ! ;p

Limau Ais

It's good to wash down the fats of coconut milk with something sour.

Teh Ais

... or go along with the common drink of every Malaysians.

Milo Panas

...or the popular Milo ;p

Have a nice and syiok day readers!

Ah Pek Stall

Just right opposite Ala Carte ( or better known as Star Cineplex ) stood a humble stall run by a happy family. They have been there for decades!

There's nothing much to choose besides : fried fish balls (homemade), fried chicken ( drums, wings and the ass)

The infamous chicken ass

I eat chicken ass ( yes , i do! it beautifies the skin complexion ok! ) but i'm extremely choosy of the asses for hygienic purposes ;p The chicken ass is marinated with the same ingredient as the fried chicken so it tasted the same.

The famous fish balls

It's really cheap coz it's only RM 1 per stick and that's 6 balls! The fish balls are tangy when it's hot but when you leave it for a few hours it gets rather rubber-ish.

Closer shot of the balls!

I believe there is one main reason that people keep coming back : the DAMN GOOD chilli sauce!

The chilli sauce is probably the best i've tasted so far in my entire life!

They don't open on a specific time but they're usually there by 4.45 P.M ;p Trust me, it's damn good!

Pizza Hut's Starbites

I'm sure you've heard of the Starbites from Pizza Hut since it's widely publicised unless you're stuck in the desert or something ;p

When we talk about something that has high publicity-the thing would always end up the opposite.

I expected more from the Starbites not to mention that is over priced of RM 27.80 for regular on ala-carte. It pretty much taste the same like any other pizza.

Sugarbun

Sugarbun is a home grown brand and only in East Malaysia we have Sugarbun. They used to sell only fast food but ever since they change owner, they also sell Asian cuisine.

I was at their new branch in The Spring and was very impress with the interior.

I always go there for the great three layer tea.

It's RM 2.20. ( If i'm not mistaken ;p )

The broasted chicken.
RM 2.90 for one piece.

They only served either one or three pieces . So i ordered only one. The last time i had the chicken was yonks ago so i couldn't recall how it tasted. So i would say it tasted really good.

Chicken Burger

Their chicken burger is really nice since the place was open lots of year back. Thick chicken patties. RM 3.80 on ala-carte.

French Fries with dip
( on promo - seasonal )

We ordered it together with the chicken burger for RM 6.50. The fries was good although fries tasted better with chilli sauce ;p tThe dip was ridiculously little and you're not allowed to have more! They are four varieties of dip - cheese, mayonaise, curry and satay (shown above).

The food improved a lot and i would recommend this place despite the terrible service. ;p

Kolo Mee - Sin Lian Shin

What I love about living in Kuching is that, i can wake up as early as 6 a.m.

...to have breakfast at the old-school coffee shop..

...for a minimal price ( the kolo mee below is priced at RM 2.70 )

and to sink down the food with a glass of teh c peng!

It'll be 5 months till i'm back to savour the good food of my beloved hometown, Kuching.

Sin Lian Shin is located right opposite the bus stop of the Green Road Secondary School, which is also my ex school ;p.
